Description
Pets may be purchased in pet shops across the world. Some pets may also be ridden, such as horses and donkeys.
You can order your pet to do anything you desire of it. Take it into battle as a tank, or just drag it around town ordering it to make faces at everyone you meet! Of course, ordering a pet and what it will actually do are two different things.
Pets cannot be used to start battles, but if they are in your formation and you begin combat, they will gladly help out as needed. If you are mounted on a pet, it will not be able to assist you in battle.
A mount, such as a horse, must be hitched if you wish it to remain in one location. However, you must remain online for it to stay. For information on ordering mounts to run, see the TRAVEL help file.
Special, house-trained pets may be adopted by any owner of a home at an adoption center, such as the one located inside the Van Pelt Emporium west of Rune. See HELP HOUSEPETS for more information.
