Description
Mysterious forces are a persistent, if unknown quantity in Alyria and throughout the rest of existence. Changing, at least temporarily, those within the forces' sway is a known affect. Some say that mysterious forces are nothing more than the humanoid condition, and are manifestations of individuality and emotion itself, brought on by a stressful situation, a beautiful sunset, or a piquant thought. Others opine that mysterious forces are animist life forces, manifestations of the Powers, or even the Unity itself, or other non-magical entities.
Whatever the cause, the effects themselves are not permanent, and in any case are rather fragile. They can be altered or damaged by magic, and in particular by the passage of time itself.
