Name
personal mounts — customizable mounts that can be summoned, bred and assist their rider in combat
Description
Pocket Dimensions
Personal mounts are bred by specialists and housed in a pocket dimension which makes them easily transportable. Due to a special enchantment that revitalizes the pocket dimensions' inhabitants, the pocket dimension can both resurrect mounts that have died, as well as suck back up mounts that have been brought outside of their pocket dimension, for easy transport. Due to the energies involved, a mount can only be brought out of its dimension once every 4 Alyrian hours, or 1 minute if in a 'Stables' room. When the pocket dimension is used, the mount it contains will be summoned, regardless of whether it did not exist before, it was sucked back into the dimension manually, or it was killed. If the mount already exists in the world, it will be sucked back into the dimension from any location; this method can be used to bypass areas that prevent mounts.
Mount Attributes
Mounts have a number of traits, the default values of which differ by race. All mounts start at level 1, with 0 exp, and may or may not be levitating or hasted, have a specific amount of hp and stamina, bonus hp-regen and st-regen, a condition which, if met, will cause the mount to assist their rider in combat, the method of combat assistance, and the frequency with which that assistance can be made. These variables are collectively known as Mount Variables, and are different for each distinct mount.
Mount Example
The pocket dimension contains one of two types of animals, a pack animal and a horse. The horse, for example, has the following default Mount Variables: Level 1, 0 exp, no levitation, no haste, 750 hp, 500 st, 0 extra hp-regen, 10 extra st-regen, and if their rider is wielding a halberd, pike or polearm, then the horse will deal damage to the rider's opponent, with a frequency of 15% per combat round.
Expiry And Breeding
Mounts will last for 120 Alyrian days, after which point they will be too old to perform reliably and can only be used to stud.
General Mount Restrictions
All personal mounts have a base alignment of 0; a mount will not let a rider mount it if the rider is good (350+) and the mount is evil (-350 and below), or if the rider is evil and the mount is good.
