Description
The Palace of Diocletian is a magnificent feat of architecture and decadence built on a monumental scale. Nowhere else is this exemplified quite like the great triple arch erected by Diocletian himself to commemorate the power of his kingdom and the founding of the Tetrarch. The arches stand nearly 60 feet in height and are covered in reliefs fashioned to honor himself and his three emperors. The Palace of Diocletian is home to many that seek its libraries and fellow scholars to further themselves. The Great Scholar, Archibold is said to have resided there exclusively for some time now. Beautiful gardens, a vibrant shopping district, the famous Diocletian Baths and more await any adventurer that travels here. Whispers are growing about the Palace Catacombs, a vast subterranean network of galleries and chambers designed for the burial of the dead. It was considered to be abandoned but evidence of recent disturbances appear to indicate that they are still in constant use. According to local legend, the catacombs are now occupied by the zealous followers of the Cult of the Lady. The Emperor and Empress will welcome you warmly but there does seem to be something troubling them greatly as of late. Perhaps an adventurer is just what they need to solve their troubles?
