Description
Auctioning is a way to sell items to other players globally, regardless of their location in the world. Anyone may bid on any item being auctioned if they have enough money.
Alyria's magical auction system is governed by imps trained by wizards in order to provide the finest auctioning services. The imps will allow most items to be auctioned, however they frown at some things such as perishables and extremely powerful artifacts.
Auctioning will use the monies currently in your default bank account to bid. If you are auctioning an item, the money you win will be transferred directly into your bank account. Like all bank activities, you are charged a small amount for a successful transaction.
AUCTION <'STATS', 'INFO', or '?'> will display the information on the current item up for auction. If you specify the number of an item (see 'AUCTION LIST') it will display that item's statistics instead. An item's number will change as it moves through the auction queue.
AUCTION <item name> [] will put an item up for auction if there is room in the auction queue. You can specify the minimum bid that you'll allow by putting it after the item name of what you're auctioning. You must have the item in your inventory at the time of the auction.
AUCTION BID will bid on the item up for auction.
AUCTION LIST will list the items currently in the auction queue, and their auction numbers.
AUCTION STOP will remove an item that you have up for auction from the auction queue. If the auction has been up for more than a few seconds, you will not be able to stop the auction.
Do not put an item up for auction unless you intend on selling it. AUCTION STOP is expected to be used only when an item is auctioned accidentally, and cannot be indicated once an item has already been put up for sale.
AUCTION REQUEST <item> will cause an open Player Vendor from the Alyrian Bazaar to auction the cheapest item that they have available for sale which matches the requested name.
Items auctioned by Player and Clan Vendors will, when purchased, send the proceeds to the Vendor's sale tally, and can be collected during the normal vendor Payment period.
